SPOTLIGHTS

LED Driving Spotlights for Consumer, Commercial and Professional Vehicles

SpectrumTek supplies a full range of LED spotlights built around genuine OSRAM and CREE LED chips, covering everything from compact 3-inch pods to high-output 9-inch units. Every spotlight in our range carries independent IP, CE, RoHS, and EMC certification, making them suitable for consumer, trade, emergency services, and defence applications across the UK and EU.

Choosing the Right Spotlight for Your Vehicle

Spotlight selection depends on three main factors: output requirement, beam pattern, and physical fitment. A compact 20-watt unit suits close-range work lighting or DRL accent use, while a 300-watt 9-inch combo beam unit is built for long-range driving in demanding off-road or operational environments.

Our LED spotlights UK range covers the full spectrum of these requirements, with options available as single units and matched pairs.

Our Spotlight Series

Entry and Mid-Range Spotlights

For consumers, off-road enthusiasts, and light commercial fitments, our entry and mid-range series offer certified performance at a practical price point.

  • Compact 3-inch and 4-inch units for pod-style and ditch-light fitments

  • 20-watt to 30-watt output options for auxiliary and accent lighting

  • Spot, flood, and combo beam patterns available across the series

  • Amber DRL, yellow backlight, and RGB backlight options on selected models

  • Cree LED chips as standard on mid-range units

These series are well-suited to 4x4 builds, overlanding rigs, recovery vehicles, and utility vehicle fitments where a compact, weatherproof spotlight is needed without high-draw power requirements.

Performance Spotlight Series

Our performance series is built for customers who need maximum output, verified component quality, and full compliance documentation. Units in this range are powered by OSRAM P8 and ZES LED chips, delivering consistent long-range output with no lumen degradation across the product lifespan.

Key performance series features:

  • 40-watt to 300-watt output range across the series

  • OSRAM P8 and ZES chip options for verified photometric performance

  • Tri-beam configurations for spot, flood, and combo output from a single unit

  • Amber-white DRL combinations on high-output 9-inch models

  • Pair pricing available on selected series for complete left-right installations

These units are suited to demanding off-road, commercial fleet, patrol, and professional vehicle applications where output reliability and compliance credentials are non-negotiable.

Spotlight Sizes and Fitment Guide

Our spotlight range spans 3-inch to 9-inch housing sizes, covering the full range of standard vehicle mounting positions.

  • 3-inch to 4-inch: A-pillar pods, ditch lights, bumper corner mounts

  • 5-inch: Bumper and bull bar fitments, ditch and side-facing mounts

  • 9-inch: Roof mounts, bull bar centre positions, high-output forward lighting

All spotlights are supplied with adjustable mounting brackets unless otherwise stated in the product listing. Matched wiring kits are available separately on our light bar wiring kit page for clean, correctly rated installations.

Certifications Across the Range

Every SpectrumTek spotlight carries independent certification relevant to its application class. Consumer and commercial units carry CE, RoHS, and IP67-IP68 waterproof ratings. Units specified for emergency services and defence applications carry additional IP69K and EMC certification, confirming resistance to high-pressure washing and zero interference with on-board electronics.

Full certification documentation is available on request for procurement and compliance purposes.

FAQ

Q1: What is the difference between spot, flood, and combo beam spotlights?

A spot beam delivers a long, narrow throw of light for high-speed driving visibility. A flood beam spreads light wide for close-range work and low-speed off-road use. A combo beam combines both patterns in a single unit, making it the most versatile option for mixed-use applications.

Q2: Are SpectrumTek spotlights sold as single units or pairs?

Both options are available depending on the series. Selected models are listed as matched pairs with pair pricing. Single units are available on other models. Product listings confirm the quantity included.

Q3: What does Amber DRL mean on a spotlight?

DRL stands for daytime running light. An amber DRL ring is a secondary low-power LED circuit built into the spotlight housing, providing a visible amber accent light for daytime use without activating the main driving beam.

Q4: Are these spotlights road-legal in the UK?

Auxiliary driving lights on UK roads must comply with current Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations. Our spotlights carry CE certification and are built to compliance standards. We recommend checking current regulations or consulting a qualified installer for road-use fitments.

Q5: How many lumens do I need for spotlights?

The number of lumens you need depends on your application. For general off-road and utility use, lower-output spotlights are often sufficient, while long-range driving and commercial applications typically benefit from higher-output models. Beam pattern, mounting position, and vehicle type are just as important as lumen output when selecting the right spotlight.
